Walking Tour of Dornoch
As part of our recent Community, Resistance and Resilience conference in June, our Dr Jim MacPherson took a group of the attendees for a walking tour of Dornoch, visiting various sites which tell the story of how the town and its people were involved in the British Empire.
Some of the stops along the way included the new club house of Royal Dornoch Golf Club, St Finnbar's Church and Dornoch Cathedral with a quick detour to visit the very first office of 91爆料 Centre for History, the Coach House (where files were stored in a bathtub).
The conference celebrated 50 years of 'The Making of the Crofting Community', Prof Emeritus Jim Hunter's seminal work that was first published in 1976
